I am tired and hungover, as you can probably see. Loki is just the most adorable kitten alive. He won't yet voluntarily climb into a human lap (unless we're in the bathroom, where he feels the most comfortable, even then only if the human is sitting on the floor perfectly still) but once he is picked up an plonked in a lap seems quite content to stay there for a little while. Slowly, slowly, slowly we make progress.

It shouldn't do - how old is he, roughly? Sodpot was an absolute midget when I got him - I think he weighed in at 680 grams at seven weeks of age, which is tiny, and he was the length of Alister's size-seven shoe - but now, at a year old, he's an average sized cat who weighs in at a hefty 5kg (photos below of this phenomenon). He was obviously malnourished as a young'un, but it doesn't appear to have had a long-term effect on his growth, so hopefully the same will be true for Loki (great name, by the way!). They do seem to catch up.

He does look like a dear little fellow. There's something so appealing about tuxedo cats :)
