I woke up this morning because I was being cuddled and compliments were being whispered in my ear.

After a lie-in I got up and hung the washing on the line in the sun while singing and enjoying the feel of the morning sun hitting my bare back and arms. I also took down the dry washing and folded it.

I came back in with the basket and recieved a kiss, the kitchen bore eveidence that pancakes would soon be on the way.

Pancakes, mayple syrup, freshly brewed green tea with berries and roots and flowers in a glass teapot kept warm by a tealight candle, then drunk out of gold-rimmed small glasses.

Now to decide whether to have a shower or go back to bed.

What an idyllic Saturday morning.

...lived up to the promise of the morning.

I made a salad with feta and olives and tomato and blood orange and lettuce and cucumber and balsamic vinegar. [livejournal.com profile] mc_shamo put together a plate of dolmades and dips and bread and then he, [livejournal.com profile] _bounce_ and I ate it together, then had boston bun.

Seamus and I slowly got ready to leave the house and caught a tram to uni for the read-through. (By the way, I'm a maenad!) After the read-through I wished Seamus and the others broken limbs as they headed off for their show and then I went on my way.

I like the reaction I get when I wear my rainbow shawel. I have to be in the right mood for it. It tends to get stares, but mainly those stares are followed by smiles, and small children always love it.

Once I got home I had a chat with Menelaus and pulled out some of the weeds near his grave. I miss him so much it physically hurts, but it's getting better. I can think of him and smile instead of wanting to cry, so that is good.

I have spent tonight enjoying the empty house. Don't get me wrong, I love being busy, and I love company, but it was nice as a change to be by myelf and quiet. And it meant no one witnesed me finish off an entire box of biscuits all on my own while reading a novel and NOT writing a uni essay.
