The doctor said I can swim and cycle and do upper-bodyish stuff at the gym. I can walk gently as long as I elevate my foot when I'm sitting. I have to take Brufen for two weeks and come back if it still hurts after that. Oh, and I have to just accept that my legs don't bend straight and ignore anything a fitness instructor says about trying to make them straighter (it's because I've been trying to "fix" these things that my foot, ankle and knee hurt so much in the first place).

So, no major damage done and I should be back to my regularly scheduled foot in a fortnight! :-D
