I have a mystery

Two days ago I was packing away my shopping. At the bottom of one of the green bags I found an envelope, sealed, with "Gavin" written on it in red biro. On closer inspection I realised the green bag was not one we'd bought but one that had been inherited (green bags are like pens or cigarette lighters in that way it seems) and it also contained serveral receipts for an IGA in North Melbourne and one from Bed, Bath n' Table in the city. I rang cows_might_fly to see if she knew anything about the envelope and she didn't, neither did vivienne_aster or fnoo. I left a message for clappamungus to give me a call but wasn't able to get on to him later.

So, anyone able to help me out? I've decided that if no one responds with definite knowlege of the owner of the envelope by the time I leave the office tonight I get to open it.

See, those addresses still sound very like *us*, but the only Gavin I know has not been around for some time, and I'm fairly sure I'd remember if I'd written him a letter. Perhaps we will discover that I did, but under the influence of some alternate personality...
