My memory of the wedding is in five seconds blocks. I remember arriving, then spreading blush on Lauren's cheeks. i remember walking behind Jo out to the backyard. I remember standing and watching and loving the fact that they'd struck just the right note between solemnity and humour. I remember catching Danny's eye and winking at him, and him winking back, and thinking that I could not remember the last time I saw someone looking that happy. I remember hugging the happy couple and blinking back tears of joy. I remember Andrew tapping me on the shoulder and hugging me. I remember seeing people I hade not seen in months or years...

The reception I remember more clearly. I didn't get to talk to everyone, which was unfortunate, but I enjoyed catching up with those I did get to talk with, and I enjoyed the dancing.

I could go on and on if I wanted and I still would not be able to articulate the joy and wonder and sheer magic of the day. It was wonderful :)

You looked lovely, by the way.

**big hugs**

Awwwww. Your post is reminding me of how it felt to be [livejournal.com profile] rendragon and Mikee's bridesmaid last year. I think there must be something about being in the bridal party that just enhances the bliss of the whole experience tenfold. Possibly a combination of things, in fact.

(Not that being in the audience wasn't damn lovely.)
