Believe it or not it's even prettier in real life, picture does not bring out the red of the rubies, the pretty colour of the rose gold or the sparkliness of diamond:
And herb garden! I love the idea of the big pots... I may have to do something similar for the apartment balcony herb garden I'm planning. (...Although I've heard it's good to separate mint from everything as the roots TAKE OVER...?)
Omg engagement ring :o) Gorgeous. I love the pairing of the diamond with the rubies. (Would love to see it on your finger, though :P)
The whole thing together cost us $50, not at all expensive, the pots are plastic, the herbs were $3 each and a HUGE bag of organic potting mix plus fertiliser was about $10.

Date: 2009-07-25 05:27 am (UTC)-Go to nursery and buy random stuff that looks nice
-Go home, dig holes where there is space with not much regard for how much light/shade/drainage/whatever there is
-put plants in holes, cover with more dirt, say a quick prayer over plant (Catholic house, though I think the prayer was usually, "God, let it grow!")
-water for two days then neglect
-if plant grows, celebrate! If it doesn't we've forgetten all about it anyway so not matter!
I should probably buy some books or look online...
