Friday:

Went to Mr McClelland's Finishing School for [livejournal.com profile] cows_might_fly_'s birthday. Had a great time. Discovered that the Melbourne alternative/hippy/arty scene for the 24-35 set is a bit too small for comfort.

Saturday:

Went to Bunnings and bought a water tank. Accompanied [livejournal.com profile] mc_shamo into Highpoint proper and helped him choose a shirt in which to wed. Tried to buy bras in Myer but got scared and ran away. Worked in the afternoon/evening/night.

Sunday:

Was presented with a pot of mini growning red roses by [livejournal.com profile] mc_shamo for Valentine's day; so much nicer than roses that will die in a week.

Went to breakfast at Brezioz in Williamstown- croissants and pain au chocolat and orange juice and hot chocolate for me, the same for Seamus except coffee instead of hot chocolate.

After Seamus went to work I made my way to the Simone Perele store in Brunswick and confirmed that I have indeed changed bra sizes again, so replaced my still newish 12C bras with 12/14Ds. As much fun as it is buying new lingerie I kind of hope this is it for a while- this growth spurt of my chest region is getting a bit expensive and I've noticed that once one passes the D-cup mark the variety of bra available drops dramatically (also I've had to actually start worrying about the whole support issue, which never bothered me from age 14 to 25 as a comfortable B-cup).

After a nap at home that went a bit longer than intended I drove to Northcote for Anita's triumphant exhibition opening. The Exhibition is called "Dearest Beloved" and is at 235A St Georges Rd. It was very impressive and I'm very proud of her.

I met Seamus at the Asian Kitchen Restaurant on Racecourse rd for an indulgent Thai dinner then we went home and shared the lovely dessert wine [livejournal.com profile] cows_might_fly and [livejournal.com profile] clappamungus gave us and snacked on Koko Black dark chocolates while watching Kiss Me Kate, a 1948 Cole Porter musical that was a lot of fun.

Next weekend, Sorrento!!

You think there's a difference in availability between C and D? Just wait until you end up in the DD range with a bigger back size, then you will understand limited choice.

The upside is that they last for a fair while and you will get excited when you find something pretty that fits

Oh I'm still pretty happy with what one can get in a D- so far it seems similar to the range for B and C except less of the teenage-style bright colour bras (which aren't my style anyway- hence the shopping in the upmarket French Lingerie store for well made items!) I'm just hoping that this is it and my chest doesn't decide to randomly grow again as from what I've been told and from my own quick look it's once you are bigger than a D you run into trouble finding things :-)

Every now and then I want the bright colourful ones but a big part of that is not being able to have them.

I like the french lingerie too but they often dont' suit my shape. Very annoying.

I will endevour to remember your wish for a non expanding bust in my prayers

Or the smaller cups in the big back range. Last time I was measured, I was an 18-20 B. (The cups get bigger so it's not that smal) and srsly, there is nothing out there.

hehe, it only gets worse. It seems like everything comes in a DD when you're an F!

If you need any more bras in the future I would go to the Bendon outlet in Essendon DFO (also one on Smith st and Bridge rd). They have quality brand lacy/lingerie style bras in a range of sizes and they are very cheap. Frequently they have sales where nothing is over $20 and if not things are still under $40. I find Fayreform an awesome brand. They are pretty and supportive and are incredibly value when on sale (they usually retail for $50 to $80). They are for bigger sizes but most should come in 14D. There are also probably a world of other brands there that I can't wear which would be perfect for a 14D.
