Was a success!!

I'm having four flowergirls at my wedding- which sounds a lot, but they won't be carrying out tradtional flowergirl activities. Instead they will be handing out the bubble blowers for people to use after the ceremony and keeping an eye out for people using confetti (which is a no-no).

So on Friday I spent a significant portion of the day baking and then on Saturday had the four girls over (my cousin Nikola, my cousin's daughter India, Seamus' cousins Sophie and Helena) along with two bridesmaids, an older cousin, a friends and an aunt and we had a nice afternoon tea and then decorated the ugly white plastic bubble blowers with pretty paper and gold paint. I of course overcatered something chronic. If anyone is interested, I made Raspberry Scones with jam and cream, gluten-free hedgehog, pattycakes (or small cupcakes) with blue and pink icing and gingerbread hearts. [livejournal.com profile] cows_might_fly, bless her, brought some savoury gluten free things too, after I realised she and Emily would only be able to eat one thing.

The girls all seemed to bond and get along, thanks so much to everyone who helped make it go smoothly! I'm really glad they got to meet each other and muck around a bit before the wedding, hopefully the day itself won't be too boring for them.
