Mar. 14th, 2008 05:37 pmI went to work today secure in the knowledge that I leave in two weeks :-)
I worked 'til 12:45pm when I braved the heat and walked through the city to Myers to purchase a present for my brother (he will turn 21 on the 22nd of March). I like Myers, they have air-conditioning and their salespeople are always lovely.
I went to uni and yet again attempted to buy my textbook. Apparently it's not even in the country yet, considering he ordered them in October I think my lecturer will be pissed.
I met
jpom40 for a beer at uni, then realised that as I'm entering full-time job-land I won't be able to do that anymore, made the beer taste all the better.
Getting home via two trams on a 40 degree day is not fun, but I'm here now.
I have told Centrelink that I'm at uni part-time and have a full time job. It turns out last time I rang about changing circumstances I was misinformed (by Centrelink? surely I jest!) and it was extremly easy to switch off Youth Allowance payments, my last one is on Monday.
I feel a bit woozy, hopefully just dehydration, am drinking as much water as possible. Hopefully feel better in time for dvd watching at Kent st tonight- though I'm not relishing the walk!
It's currently 39 degrees.
