- I found that I was in a job I by and large enjoyed with people I by and large liked
- I discovered that my fears were being realised and the Melbourne Model did in fact herald the decline and fall of the University of Melbourne
- I got engaged
- Several close friends also got engaged or married
- With the agreement of my counsellor I stopped going to therapy
- I then started therapy again as soon as winter hit, with a strengthening suspision I suffer from S.A.D
- We planned a wedding
- And a honeymoon
- I completed one year of my Masters with serious reservation about going back for the rest (see above point about Melbourne Model)
- I deepened my friendship and relationship with Seamus' family
- I maintained the relationships in my own family
- I did not get to see as much of some friends as I would like, but I think this is an inevitable consequence of not being an undergraduate anymore, and can only conclude that certain people need to move closer, also, a very dear friend moved overseas and I miss her.
- I proved to myself I was able to budget
- I got a permanent position after temping since May 08
- I got into gardening and permaculture
- I continued to live in our cute little townhouse with Seamus and the cats, making it a comfortable and happy home, which I hope is also welcomeing to the many people I love who spend some time there.
In 2010 I have a secure job, a steady and wonderful fiance, amazing friends, a great family and two of the cutest cats around. I'm going to get married. I'm going to study (though where and exactly what are still up for debate- definitely social work related though, and hopefully something where what I've already done will count towards it!). I'm going to go overseas for the first time in four years, and have a holiday longer than four days for the first time in three years. I'm going to have a good time.
